As a hardworking non-traditional student, I've discovered that the traits I once viewed as obstacles are now my greatest strengths. Going back to school at 23 was something I never imagined doing at 18, but it turned out to be the most significant move I've ever made for myself.

I anticipate graduating in May 2026 with two bachelor's degrees in anthropology and political communication. Throughout the course of my time at Illinois State University, I have had the opportunity to meet and network with countless academics, business owners, notable professors, and an assortment of other professionals.

I was fortunate enough to connect with a local small business, Fiala Brothers Brewery & Beer Hall, where I have spent more than half of my time at Illinois State University refining my media and content development skills as their on-site Social Media Director. I consider myself incredibly lucky to be in a situation that many college students only wish for.

Throughout my life, I have encountered many obstacles and circumstances that have forced me to change my professional path; yet, I have the value of perseverance embedded in my genes because of my amazing family, who surround and support me in everything I strive for. I hope that these characteristics can be fully reflected in the work that I do for my current employment as well as my future career.
